Dwayne's retirement from Active Duty Naval Service has taken priority for the 2008 season. With efforts of securing employment in the priviate sector and moving racing has had to take a season off. We Wish all the best to our friends at Langley Speedway and to all the Modified teams in the VA and NC area.

2010 We plan to compete at Motordrome Speedway and Lake Erie Speedway. You can see us there or follow us online here or at the tracks websites. Hopefully we can take up residancy in VICTORY LANE.

We are currently signing sponsors for the remaining 2003 and 2004 race season.

History of VanTassel Racing

We bought our first racecar and ran a limited season with the Limited Stocks at Langley Speedway in Hampton, VA. Mid-Season '97 we moved out to Southampton Motor Speedway in Capron, VA. to support their Grand Stock Division.

 In '98 Dwayne stood in as Crew Chief for the '97 defending Grand Stock Champion, Kevin Goe.

1999 saw the debut of VanTassel Racing's entry into the Modified Racing Series.

The 2000 season was a limited schedule for us.We finished 15th in points with the Modified Racing Series of Virginia. 

In 2001 we got help from BEACH MARINE and SIGNS BY WILLIAMS that helped us post several top ten finishes and placed a respectable 12th in season ending points in the Modified Racing Series.

With race season 2002 in the history books VanTassel Racing Finished 5th in season ending points. All year long we only finished out of the top 10 one time. Dwayne was voted MOST IMPROVED DRIVER 2002 at Southampton Motor Speedway.

With the rebuilding and the world events our 2003 season ended up to be an off year for us. We want to thank BEACH MARINE for their support and understanding.

2004 plagued with rebuilding the car and engine without a main sponsor proved to us we have a good jump on 2005 and shift focus to ensure readiness for March 2005.

Our focus now on the 2005 season we were only able to compete two times due to a very limited budget. We posted a 14th and 12th place finishes.

We want to WELCOME Arctic Breeze to the team to aid the 2006 race season. We hope when you need heating or a/c service you will call Arctic Breeze.

With the help we recieved from Arctic Breeze we were able to finish the 2006 race season in 9th place in points. As fans please give Arctic Breeze the chance to earn you heating and cooling business.
